Our goal isn’t just to study technology, but to question it, to understand its effects, and to make sure it’s applied responsibly.

Who Are We?

The Responsible Computing Club, known as RCC, is all about exploring ethical design, sustainability, and accessibility in tech through engaging workshops, speaker events, and social meetups.

We believe everyone, whether you're in arts, humanities, or sciences, plays a key role in shaping tech that truly serves people first!

Where Did We Start?

After participating in Mozilla’s Responsible Computing Challenge, our club’s founder was inspired to provide a space for San Jose State University students to explore technologies’ ethical implications on society.

What Do We Do?

Our mission is to change the conversation around AI and emerging technologies, focusing on their social, ethical, and environmental impact rather than just the technical side.

In order to make RCC relevant to all majors (and minors) and to hone their collective strengths, we've created dedicated teams focused on areas like workshops, consulting, marketing, web dev, and so much more!
